[CANUFNET] Municipal Forestry Practices and Resources

The City of Peterborough is seeking information from Ontario municipalities regarding current forestry practices and resources. Specifically, we are interested in:

  1.  Stem Wood and Bulk Wood Utilization
     *   What approaches or programs does your municipality use for managing and repurposing stem wood and bulk wood (e.g., biomass, lumber, mulch, partnerships)?
     *   What cost per metric tonne to dispose?
  2.  Forestry Operations Staffing
     *   What is the size ( number of staff), and structure of your forestry operations team typically used for removals?
  3.  Equipment Inventory
     *   What types of equipment are typically used in your forestry operations (e.g., aerial lifts, chippers, stump grinders, loaders)?

Your input will help us benchmark and improve our urban forestry program.
