Hello everyone,

1.	Expect a flurry of e-mails from me over the next couple of weeks. I
will be sending out.

a.	"Collaborating for Conservation" - a strategy paper on building the
voluntary sector through a series of collaborations
b.	"We Conserve: the Five Year Plan" - our five year strategy to build
the conservation movement in Ontario and help make significant and
measurable contributions to the Kyoto targets for 2012.
c.	Our Annual Meeting Announcement and call for nominations and
membership applications - set aside the morning of November 29th
d.	Fundraising - yes, start budgeting. We'll be starting a Friends of
Conservation page on We Conserve to recognize everyone who donates at least
$100 to support We Conserve (you can get a head start by going to
http://www.weconserve.ca/contribute.html and follow the link to Canada Helps
online donations - for smaller donations, we prefer you use Canada Helps and
save us the admin costs)

2.	For our friends in the Toronto area, please stop by one of the two
Grassroots stores this Friday. They are donating 10% of their sales to the
Conservation Council. It's a great time to stock up on green cleaning
supplies or get a head start on Christmas shopping. See their e-newsletter
below.
3.	Finally, special congratulations to Paul Bubelis and the
Sustainability Network (www.sustain.web.ca <http://www.sustain.web.ca/> ).
They celebrated their tenth anniversary in style yesterday with a special
reception at the Gladstone Hotel in Toronto, with an entertaining and
insightful panel of eco-thinkers: Gill Deacon, Bob Rae, Sarah Harmer, Geoff
Cape and David Crombie. Great food, and great company as well.

All the best,

Chris Winter
