Ontario's Fourth Conservation Summit:

Shifting to the Conserver Economy

Thursday, December 4, 2008,  Royal York Hotel Ballroom, Toronto

Tell me now, which path to sustainability do you want to be on: the
roller-coaster ride from one environmental or economic crisis to the next,
or the steady growth of a green and local economy? 

 

Thought so.  Roller coasters belong in amusement parks, not our living
rooms.  Join us for the fourth Conservation Summit as we analyze the growth
of Ontario's conserver economy, cheer on the green leaders, and figure out
ways to further speed up the transition to a conserver economy and a
conserver society.

*          Morning sessions include climate change guru Ralph Torrie and CBC
Radio financial commentator Michael Hlinka (weekdays at 6:40 a.m. on Metro
Morning), and our new report card on Ontario's progress toward a culture of
conservation. 

 

*          Afternoon sessions are built around presentations from
participants, highlighting leadership in social marketing, community
engagement, and economic transition; as well as drawing attention to fiscal
policies and other initiatives that would support the shift to a conserver
economy

 

*          Make sure your activities are included in the summit workbook.

cost, or $50 for members, future members, and low-income organizations.  A
limited number of complimentary tickets are available, and with adequate
sponsorship we can also offer a travel subsidy.
