Green Connections Networking Event <http://thegreenconnection.ca/>

We are adding new members - a sign that the conservation movement is
continuing to grow, and that the need to connect, collaborate, and
coordinate is more important than ever
We have excellent and innovative programs in place, including:
* Community <http://www.weconserve.ca/communityaction/index.html>
Action - an updated community organizer's manual, an amazing collaborative
project with Live <http://www.weconserve.ca/toronto/> Green Toronto, and
new initiatives coming together in Oshawa and Oakville
* We Conserve TV <http://www.weconservetv.ca/> - an online library of
conservation videos profiling community action
* Great Green Directory <http://www.greatgreendirectory.ca/> - a new
directory to link people to conservation
* GreenLeaders <http://www.weconserve.ca/innovation/greenleader.html>
- an innovative way to assess and promote green leadership in Ontario
We are looking forward to a great year to build an even stronger
conservation movement:
* by promoting each other's areas of expertise and leadership
* through collaborative campaigns to promote conservation solutions
* with innovative policy work to further support the culture of
conservation in Ontario
And after the meeting...
We are linking our annual meeting to a great social event being offered by
the Ontario Sustainable Energy Association, one of the new organizations to
the Conservation Council of Ontario, and a leader within one of our priority
action areas, "use green power".
* Tickets to the Green Connection are $55
* Tickets are $40 if you are part of the CCO Annual Meeting
.

Call for Board Members
Are you interested in joining the Board of Directors?
Now is a great time to get "on Board". We are looking for leaders in the
conservation movement that can bring their skills and connection to a team
that is dedicated to building new collaborations and fostering innovative
ideas. Through the Board and CCO projects, we want to have a profound
impact on our collective ability to promote a culture of conservation in
Ontario. We need people with ideas, energy, and a willingness roll up your
sleeves to tackle one or more catalytic projects.
Please contact me if you are interested (cco at web.ca). The current Board
will prepare a slate of candidates to present at the AGM.
