We phased out coal. Citizen activism, lead by the Ontario Clean Air Alliance, did that. Now we can phase out nuclear. We can. But we need your help.

We won the coal phase out. New Ontario nukes are now off the board. So what’s next? We’re convinced that we can persuade Ontario to cancel the Darlington re-build AND the Pickering extension with a combination of conservation, made-in-ON renewables, and very importantly, low-cost water power imports from Quebec. Electricity demand is falling while the cost and risks of running the Ontario’s aging nuclear reactors are increasing. It makes sense to retire Pickering.
