Ontario Court of Appeal, Courtroom #1, Osgoode Hall, 130 Queen St. W. (Queen and University)
Michael Sona remains the only individual charged and convicted for the 2011 vote suppression crimes which targeted thousands of fraudulent messages to Conservative “non-supporters” in 261 ridings across the country. Mr. Sona is appealing the length of his sentence as too severe, but the Crown is also appealing his sentence as not stiff enough. An aggravating factor identified by the Crown is that “Sona…continues to shield at least one other perpetrator from justice.” Show your support for the integrity of our democracy by attending this trial (Open to the public. You will have to pass through security screening before entering the courthouse.) and/or signing and circulating this petition: www.tinyurl.com/robocalls-petition
