How NAFTA restricts Canada’s ability to lower carbon emissions

NAFTA jeopardizes Canada’s climate commitments. Canada supports energy proportionality. Proportionality requires Canada to currently make available for export to the U.S. three-quarters of its oil production and just over half its natural gas, even if eastern Canadians are going without and freezing in the dark.

Carbon pricing is working in Ontario, so hands off

The claim that cap-and-trade or carbon pricing will kill jobs might be powerful rhetoric, but it’s not true. The province added more than 155,000 new jobs in 2017, the first year of cap-and-trade.

Know Your Drugs

In less than 10 minutes, this Know Your Drugs video presentation explains why it's so important for people to be knowledgeable about any prescription drugs they consume. "Adverse drug reactions are a leading cause of death largely because pharmaceutical companies hide the truth about potentially deadly side effects."

Protest against BigMedia® censorship

Monday, May 7, 5 - 7 p.m.

CityNews, 33 Dundas East

CityNews is hosting a rigged Leaders Debate on May 7th. The Green Party has not been invited, even though they got 233K votes in the last election, they have seats in three provinces, a seat in Ottawa, and they hold the balance of power in BC! Out of 20 registered parties in Ontario, four get an annual public subsidy, due to their public support at the ballot box. That includes the Green Party of Ontario. If voters are already funding the Greens, don't they deserve to hear what they have to say? This kind of arbitrary exclusion represents a complete abandonment of the most basic principles of journalism and political bias. BigMedia® censorship must be challenged and opposed. Join us on May 7th, outside the #FakeNews debate. We'll bring the green tape!

People vs Kinder Morgan Rally at Finance Minister Morneau Office

Mon. May 7, 4 - 6 p.m.

430 Parliament St (south of Carlton)

The federal Liberals have stated they will do whatever it takes to "provide certainty" and avoid a threatened Kinder Morgan withdrawal from this project. The Minister of Finance is currently in closed talks with the company to figure out how to make this happen and has indicated it could include billions of dollars of public money to bail out Kinder Morgan, the CEOs of which are millionaires and were involved in the Enron scandal. Join us to make a loud statement that this is NOT acceptable, is NOT in the "national interest", and will lose the Liberals votes in Ontario strongholds if it happens.

The Religion of Science - How Science Devolves Into Bias and Orthodoxy

Sunday 3 – 4 p.m., 206

One of the foundational principles of modern medicine is that vaccines are safe and effective, and that everyone who refuses to vaccinate is putting themselves and everyone else around them at risk. However, Del’s research as an investigative medical journalist has revealed that the scientific method to establish safety in vaccines has been abandoned and replaced with assumptions. It is important to know where to find the real published science on vaccines and how to use it to inform our friends, families, physicians, and political leaders. Del will discuss why the pro-science vaccine risk awareness movement is winning the battle on bought science.
