The State of the Union: Alt-Right: Age of Rage
Mon. Oct. 29, 3:30 p.m. and Tues. Nov. 6, 4 p.m.
Bloor Hot Docs, 506 Bloor W.
Get a front-line primer on the growing political polarization of America in the wake of the Trump presidency. One year into the election, the Alt-Right is on the rise and civil rights groups like the shadow collective Antifa and the NAACP are fighting back. Immersing us in both sides of the battle, filmmaker Adam Bhala Lough follows white supremacist leader Richard Spencer and his most resolute adversary, anti-fascist activist Daryle Lamont Jenkins, exposing the social turmoil spreading across the country. As tensions between the right and the left reach an all-time high, the two sides square off during the tragic events at the 2017 Charlottesville riots. Trigger warning: everything.

Community Vigil: Fair Labour Laws Save Lives
Mon. Oct. 29, 5:30 - 7 p.m.
Keele and York (main entrance to York U)
On Friday we received the tragic news that a 4th temp agency worker has died at a Fiera Foods related bakery. This is the same food processing company where 3 temp agency workers previously lost their lives, prompting an undercover investigation by Toronto Star's Sara Mojtehedzadeh. We are calling for a community vigil at the intersection which is very close to the location of the plant where this worker was killed. Please bring candles and flowers with you if possible.

Stand up to the Ontario Chamber of Commerce
Wed. Oct. 31, 12:30 - 1:30 p.m.
Outside the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, 180 Dundas St W (E. of University)
We cannot let corporate greed take away the most basic protections we won through grassroots organizing. Join us in getting the word out that the Chamber is spinning lies about the impact of decent work on the economy to justify their call for the full repeal of our newly won rights. When the Chamber of Commerce campaigns against Bill 148, they are campaigning to make it easier for bosses to fire workers whose childcare has fallen through or who have to stay home sick when they have the flu.

Killing Gaza
Friday, Nov. 2, 7 p.m.
OISE, 252 Bloor St. W., Rm 5-150
In Killing Gaza, journalists Dan Cohen and Max Blumenthal documented Israel’s 2014 war on Gaza. Yet this film is much more than a documentary about Palestinian resilience and suffering. It is a chilling visual document of war crimes committed by the Israeli military, featuring direct testimony and evidence from the survivors. Stephen Ellis is BDS activist and socialist and will speak following the film. $4 donation. Part of the Rebel Film Series presented by Toronto Socialist Action.
