Friends of Tooker,

The unveiling (aka logging) of the Tooker Tapes is coming along nicely, but now we need your ideas and input!

Please join us on what would be Tooker’s 71st birthday to review select clips from the >170 videos posted from the archive to date.

Filmmaker Kelly Green has now digitally archived 450 of the full 600 hours of raw footage Tooker left us. Once all the tapes have been logged, we hope to produce a documentary.

Can you help us develop the strongest narrative? What do you find most compelling: the activism, politics, media, issues? The interviews, interactions, confrontations?

One of the stronger threads we’ve uncovered is: Le Monde a Bicyclette – the Movie. The song and music video of same title beautifully encapsulates the character. The bicycle could be the vehicle to move the story along, seeing "the world in a different way". The world on a bicycle, Tooker "sparking fires mirthfully to melt the ice of apathy."

We'll show you clips at a good pace aiming to cover as much ground as possible within our hour together. We invite your input before, during or after the 12th, in any form you're comfortable. We just really need your perspectives. You are our Top Audience and know the story better than anyone else. Help us find the focus and the frame.

P.S. Aug. 12th is also a new moon, meaning the sky will be blackest, the stars most visible. There will also be a partial solar eclipse this night as well as the annual Perseid Meteor Shower – offering 50-100 bright shooting stars per hour best seen from midnight thru dawn. Look up!
