As many of you know, People for a Better Ottawa (PBO) is a growing coalition
of individuals, health and social services organizations, faith-based groups
and others who are concerned that Ottawa City Council’s 2008 budget be a
balanced one: that it maintains a fiscally responsible approach, but fully
recognizes the crucial importance of city-funded social, recreational and
other front-line services to the health and well-being of all Ottawa
residents, regardless of income.

 

If you haven’t already done so, please visit PBO’s website at HYPERLINK
"http://www.betterottawa.ca/"www.betterottawa.ca . There is an on-line
letter that anyone may sign in support of the coalition’s objectives.

 

 The letter will be presented at City Hall at 9:30 am on Monday, December
10th at a press conference and the number of signatures will demonstrate to
City Council how strongly Ottawa residents believe in the need to maintain a
healthy, inclusive city.

 

If you support PBO’s message, please sign-on to the letter before Monday.
And join us that day at Council meeting as our elected representatives begin
their budget deliberations. 

 

Our City Councillors need to know how much we value a healthy and inclusive
city.
