The Rental Residential Rehabilitation Assistance Program (RRAP) is a federal
program administered by Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC),
which provides grants and/or loans to support the renovation and repair of
housing, which does not meet basic health and safety standards, occupied by
low income households. Typical examples are repairs to heating systems,
electrical, plumbing and structural problems. RRAP includes a number of
renovation programs available to homeowners, landlords of affordable rental
housing and rooming houses and persons converting non-residential
properties. RRAP also offers assistance to persons with disabilities where
accessibility modifications are required. 

Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation is now accepting applications for
the RRAP Rental, Conversion, Rooming House, Secondary Suites and Shelter
Enhancement Programs. The Ontario Region is accepting applications for these
programs on a continuous in-take basis.
