Hello all,

 

I confirmed today that people and/or groups may still register for the
Ontario Human Rights Commission consultation on rental housing taking place
in Ottawa on June 25th. 

 

You can find more information, including the consultation and background

I was also advised that “the details for the Ottawa session have not been
sent out as of yet. The sessions are informal, they are 'open', meaning they
are not scheduling times for people to speak. However, those who wish to
speak will have the opportunity to do so.”

PARTICIPATION IN THE COMMISSION’S RENTAL HOUSING CONSULTATION


There are several ways you can participate in the Commission’s consultation
on Human Rights and Rental Housing in Ontario.

All interested persons and organizations are invited to make written
submissions. Written submissions should be provided prior to AUGUST 31,
2007.

The Commission will also be holding a series of public meetings at four
locations across the province:

June 13: Sudbury
June 14 : Toronto
June 25 : Ottawa
June 27 : Kitchener-Waterloo
June 28 : Toronto

If you are interested in participating in one of these sessions, please RSVP
as soon as possible. You will be contacted to confirm your participation in
the meeting and be given details of the time, location and format of the
meeting.
