Popular Music Festival Returns
with New Family Programming
For the past few years, our event has featured a community feast and outdoor concert presenting some of the best of Aboriginal talent across Canada. This year will be no different with an incredible line up of talent featured from June 21st through 24th. (for artist bios, click here.)
The Children's Village will come alive with family programming (for times, see the calendar below). Ongoing interactive and entertaining activities in honour of the environment including: Little Ray's Reptiles, pony rides and petting zoo, bounce castle, face painting, storytelling, puppet theatre, crafts, and cultural dance performances including Dallas Arcand. Also, Métis artist, Christi Belcourt will lead ongoing artist workshops where you can create your own piece - be sure to visit our new arist exhibit, presenting a select artist from the First Nations, Metis and Inuit commuity.
This family-oriented event is hosted on Victoria Island, an historical and sacred island in downtown Ottawa. We invite you to bring your friends and family and join in the celebration.
