Subject: local meeting on NIMBYism

As you may know, ACTO obtained $50,000 from the Law Foundation for the ream Team to conduct provincewide education and networking on the ssue of discrimination against people with mental health issues with respect to supportive housing.  
 
They are going to be doing a roadshow" in different parts of the province and  Ottawa is one location.  One of the criteria would be that there has been local community opposition to a particular housing development based on the future residents of that building (i.e. those with mental health challenges), another would be that there are people to organize with locally who would then carry on the work of education and hopefully become part of a provincial network that would continue to do advocacy on these issues.  
 
I've attached a copy of the original application to the Law Foundation.   Do you think you could help us identify groups in Ottawa with whom the Dream Team could work?
