How to Get What You Need:  Fundamentals for Advocacy

 

When:            Wednesday evenings, September 12 to October 3, 2007

6:30 pm to 8:30 pm 

Facilitator:  Jyoti Singh

 

This interactive and engaging 4-week workshop is designed to help people who
may be new to advocacy to learn some basic skills including:

 

*     Advocacy and communication basics

*     Effective boundaries

*     A range of advocacy techniques 

*     How to develop an advocacy plan

 

Participants will have lots of opportunity to practice the skills and apply
them to their personal situations.  Come and meet with others to discover
new strategies for asking for – and maybe getting – what you need!
