The proposed City Housing Strategy 2007-2012 (CHS) is currently scheduled to
be considered for adoption by City Council on October 18th by the City’s
Community and Protective Services Committee and on October 23rd by the
City’s Planning and Environment Committee.  

The City Housing Strategy 2007-2012 is the culmination of extensive analysis
of housing systems in Ottawa and broad consultation with community
stakeholders.  It establishes three overall Directions to be pursued until
2012 at which time the document will be reviewed. 

Direction One:  Building Healthy, Inclusive, Sustainable Communities 
Direction Two:  Promoting and Preserving Affordable Housing 
Direction Three:  Meeting the Need for Supports to Housing

Le projet de Stratégie du logement de la Ville 2007-2012 sera soumis à
l’examen et à l’approbation du Conseil municipal après avoir été entériné
par le Comité des services communautaires et de protection le 18 octobre, et
par le Comité de l’urbanisme et de l’environnement de la Ville le 23
octobre.  

La Stratégie du logement de la Ville 2007-2012 est l’aboutissement
d’analyses approfondies des systèmes de logements à Ottawa et a fait l’objet
de vastes consultations avec les intervenants communautaires.  La Stratégie
établit trois orientations générales à suivre jusqu’en 2012, après quoi ce
document sera réexaminé.  

Orientation 1 :  Construire des collectivités saines, englobantes et viables

Orientation 2 :   Promouvoir et conserver les logements abordables 
Orientation 3 : Répondre aux besoins de soutien au logement 

Veuillez transmettre ce document aux réseaux concernés.
