Hello,

 

On behalf of the Centre on Governance (in the School of Political
Studies) and the Graduate School of Public and International Affairs,
both at the University of Ottawa, I have great pleasure in following up
with you about the seminar series "Better Places for Canada". The series
is being led by Professor Duncan Maclennan, a leading international
expert on city and housing issues.

 

The first seminar, "Strategies for Stronger City Neighbourhoods:
Contrasting UK and Canadian Approaches", was held Friday, March 28th and
was a great success.

 

I am pleased to invite you to participate in the second seminar of the
series, "Housing Policies for Successful Cities", which is being held on
Thursday, April 10, 2008 in the Lecture Hall 110 (1st Floor) at the
Hampton Inn Ottawa & Conference Centre, 200 Coventry Road (for
directions, please visit http://www.hamptoninnottawa.com/location.asp).
The seminar will commence at 1:00 PM promptly and finish at 5:00 PM.
Please find attached the seminar agenda, plus the outline of the series.

 

The registration fee for the April 10th seminar is $50.00 per person. To
register, kindly complete and email/fax back the attached registration
form, as soon as possible, with payment, to; email: mikhela at rogers.com;
fax: 613-590-9952. We encourage a speedy response as the attendance will
be limited.

 

Please note that the third seminar, on cities, which had been planned
for April 17th is being rescheduled for late May 2008. More details on
the third seminar will be circulated shortly.
