Join us on a Study Tour of Saint-Michel and See Why Cirque de Soleil
Calls this Neighbourhood Home!

The internationally acclaimed sensation Cirque de Soleil had humble
beginnings. It began as a group of street performers who wanted to
create a better reality for marginalized youth.

A highlight of the symposium, Rejuvenate your Neighbourhood, will be a
walking tour of Saint-Michel, a low-income neighbourhood that is home to
the headquarters of Cirque de Soleil. Saint-Michel is where many new
immigrants get their start in the city. Employment opportunities have
been few and household incomes are low, but this community is on the
move. The Cirque has partnered with others in the community to help
revitalize this neigbourhood through a poverty reduction program mixing
social and cultural enrichment, employment and business development
supports, and the creation of decent and affordable housing.

In keeping with Cirque de Soleil's vision and CHRA's strategic plan, we
would like to challenge you to send your young housing leaders to
Rejuvenate your Neighbourhood. We are therefore offering a special
discounted price of only $99 to youth between the ages of 18 and 30!

The walking tour is just one of the highlights of the symposium, which
will include exciting speakers and panelists from Montreal, Quebec,
Ottawa, Toronto and Saint John and Vancouver, and fantastic
opportunities for networking.

We have extended the early bird rate until Aug. 22nd, 2008, but
discounted hotel rates expire on Aug 15th, 2008, so register and book
your hotel room now!
