Free tele-learning event on the Registered Charity Information Return
(T3010A)

 

Representatives of registered charities are invited to attend a free
tele-learning event hosted by the Centre for Voluntary Sector Research and
Development (CVSRD) at Carleton University, a partner on The Charities File
project (HYPERLINK
"http://www.pancan-cra.voluntarygateway.ca/en/mainn"www.pancan-cra.voluntary
gateway.ca/en/main).  Participants will be provided with either a local or
toll free number to call to join in:

 

Time:                11:00 AM - Pacific

                        12:00 PM - Mountain

                        1:00 PM - Central

                        2:00 PM - Eastern

                        3:00 PM - Atlantic

                        3:30 PM - Newfoundland

 

Length:             Two hours (this session will be in English future
session to be held in French)

Deadline:           Register by Tuesday January 15th to allow time to
receive advance materials by mail. 

 

Purpose:           This session provides an overview of the roles and
responsibilities of senior staff and board members in ensuring the
Registered Charity Information Return (T3010A) is filed accurately and on
time. It will also cover Canada Revenue Agency’s role and give strategies
for improving your compliance with annual reporting requirements. 

 

Facilitators:       Paula Speevak-Sladowski and Hans Finken

 

Note:                The session may fill up fast.  A waiting list will be
compiled for future sessions.  

 

Meanwhile:        Board, staff, and volunteers may be interested in the
e-learning materials now available online for your direct use and download,

Tip:                   The annual Charity Information Return must be filed
with the Canada Revenue Agency within six months of the end of the fiscal
