Hi all, 

The RHIEN Bed bug mattress cover program is now up and running. Please save
the attached documents and read the Bed Bug Info Sheet for workers very
carefully. This will explain how to help your clients deal with bed bug
issues. Some points to remember :

*	We have estimated that each tenant will require 10 garbage bags, 5
Laundry Co-op chits and 8 bus tickets to go along with the covers. Through
the project we have been able to purchase a limited number of bus tickets,
garbage bags and laundry chits. If your agency can provide these to your
clients, this would help us to reach more tenants. Please try to provide any
of these items to your clients. 
*	These covers are available to rooming house tenants only 
*	Make sure that the tenant contacts the City of Ottawa’s Public
Health Department by calling 311
*	Assist the client in getting the landlord to call in a pest control
company, See attached form letter.
*	You or you and your client can pick up the mattress covers and other
goods at Housing Help, 309 Cooper St. Suite 502, 613-563-4532. Please make
sure to fill out the voucher. CLIENTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PICK UP THE
GOODS ON THEIR OWN.
