Only 2 weeks to go!

 

Dec. 31st is the last day for submissions to Minister Jim Watson's
Consultation on a Long-term Affordable Housing Strategy for Ontario.

 

 

Hello Everyone,

 

This is a very busy time of year, so the Housing Network of Ontario (HNO)
has prepared the attached sample letter you can use and adapt as a
submission. 

 

*       Remember to add your own name and address. 

*       Add your own bullet points if you wish to.

*       Use "Save as" to rename it (i.e., "LBrowne Submission to LTAHS").

 

Then email it to: housingstrategy.mah at ontario.ca or you can also simply
attach it just after question 5 of the Ministry's Online Questionnaire at
http://www.mah.gov.on.ca/Page6405.aspx. (No need to answer the questions to
do this.)

 

If you or your organization have not yet sent in your submission, now's the
time! This is your chance to make it clear that existing and new community
housing needs to be truly affordable to low-income households in Ontario. So
far 120 submissions have gone in - please add your voice too!

 

There are some materials that may be helpful if you'd like to write your own
submission: see the attached in HNO's Submission or the Alliance to End
Homelessness Submission. You can also find more information on the Housing
Network of Ontario's website: www.stableandaffordable.com
