The Extended Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program As of July 3, 2009 

July 3, 2009

The Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario announced today more
than $52.2 million to fund 23 construction-ready projects throughout
Ontario.

The funding was made available as a result of a $1.2 billion joint
investment under the amended Canada-Ontario Affordable Housing Program
Agreement, which includes funding through Canada’s Economic Action Plan and
by the Government of Ontario. The federal and provincial governments are
contributing equally to this overall announcement.

Toronto

*	$4.4 million for phase two of the Homeward Bound project. The
44-unit project is sponsored by WoodGreen Community Housing Inc., and the
units will be occupied by low-income families and individuals. 
*	City of Hamilton

*	$880,000 for an additional 11 units project sponsored by Spallacci
Contracting Ltd. The units will be occupied by low-income seniors. 

*	$5.7 million for a 63-unit project sponsored by T. Valeri
Construction Ltd. The units will be occupied by low-income seniors.

*	$560,000 for seven units sponsored by Halton Heritage Realty Inc.
The units will be occupied by low-income seniors.

Kawartha Lakes

*	$2.2 million for an 18-unit project sponsored by Kawartha Lakes
Haliburton Mental Health Services. The units will be occupied by individuals
with disabilities. 

*	$6.1 million for a 51-unit project sponsored by the Community Care
City of Kawartha Lakes. The units will be occupied by seniors and
individuals with disabilities.

Lambton

*	$560,000 for eight units sponsored by 1744514 Ontario Ltd. The units
will be occupied by low-income seniors.
*	$5.9 million for a 57-unit project sponsored by the Corporation of
the County of Lambton. The units will be occupied by low-income seniors and
individuals with disabilities. 

City of Ottawa

*	$6 million for a 55-unit project sponsored by Shepherds of Good
Hope. The units will be occupied by individuals with disabilities and
seniors.
*	$720,000 for a six-unit project sponsored by the City of Ottawa. The
units will be occupied by low-income families.

Peterborough

*	$2.2 million for an 18-unit project sponsored by Otonabee South
Monaghan. The units will be occupied by low-income seniors. 

*	$2.2 million for an 18-unit project sponsored by Peterborough
Housing Corporation. The units will be occupied by low families and
individuals, including seniors.
*	$1.2 million for a 12-unit project sponsored by the TVM Group. The
units will be occupied by families and individuals with disabilities.
*	$600,000 for six units sponsored by ECE Living. The units will be
occupied by low income seniors and individuals.
*	$280,000 for four units sponsored by the TVM Group. The units will
be occupied by low-income individuals. 

*	$960, 000 for eight units sponsored by Brock Street Mission. The
units will be occupied by low-income individuals. 

*	$480,000 for four units sponsored by Peterborough Housing
Corporation in Lakefield. The units will be occupied by low-income seniors 

*	$120,000 for a one unit sponsored by Peterborough Community Housing
Development Corporation. The units will be occupied by a low-income family. 

*	Prescott & Russell

*	$140,000 for two units sponsored by La Corporation de logement de
Rockland. The units will be occupied low-income seniors. 

City of London

*	$1.6 million for a 39-unit project sponsored by Southdale Apartments
Inc. The units will be occupied by low-income families and individuals with
disabilities.

City of Waterloo

*	$5.4 million for a 45 -unit project in sponsored by Newo Holdings
Ltd. The units will be occupied by low-income seniors.
*	$480,000 for four units sponsored by MennoHomes Inc. The units will
be occupied by low-income families.

*	$3.6 million for a 30-unit project sponsored by Supportive Housing
Of Waterloo. The units will be occupied by low-income families and persons
with disabilities.
