Subject: Message from Libby - Support for a National Housing Strategy

March 27, 2009

Dear Friends,

My Private Members Bill calling for a National Housing Strategy, Bill C-304,
will be up for debate in the House of Commons on Thursday, April 2, 2009.

Bill C-304 is a much needed pan-Canadian framework from which to address
homelessness, invest in social, cooperative and other not-for-profit housing
solutions, and meet the real housing needs of seniors and people with
disabilities. You can read the full text of the Bill on-line at:
http://lpintrabp.parl.gc.ca/apps/legisinfo/index-e.asp?query=5708&Session=22
&List=toc

I am writing to ask for your support for Bill C-304, and to encourage you
and your members to write, email or fax your Member of Parliament to ask
them to vote yes on Bill C-304.

Now is the time to put the pressure on all Members of Parliament for a
national housing plan.

I believe that with your support, we can make this Bill law and take a giant
step toward meeting the real housing needs of our citizens.

Contact information for your MP can be found at www.parl.gc.ca .

Thank you for your ongoing work to provide safe and affordable housing for
all Canadians.

Yours Sincerely,

Libby Davies, MP
Vancouver East
