continuation of Homelessness Partnering Strategy's (HPS) into 2011-2014.
* Marian Wright, Chair of the Alliance to End Homelessness will call
for continued and increased funding for the HPS programs at this event

* 12:30 march over to Parliament Hill.
Please circulate & invite your colleagues and friends!
We know very well in Ottawa, just how essential and successful the HPS
programs have been in supporting efforts to help homeless people in our
community.
Speakers will ask that -
1. The HPS 2011-2014 continue to act on a number of issues and enable
the following:
* Ensure uninterrupted services for individuals.
* Consolidate staff and offer capacity-building tools
* Develop new projects and respond to emerging needs
* Improve facilities and equipment
* Meet the rising demand
* Offer financial support to grassroots networks working to
eliminate homelessness
2. The HPS continue to allow local communities to establish their
priorities and to choose their projects.
3. The Federal Government publicly state its intentions for the HPS
2011-2014 as soon as possible so implementation can begin as of April 1st,
2009.
4. RSIQ is asking that the annual HPS budget for Quebec be no less than
50 Million dollars.
