It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of a
Community Friend / Leader / Mentor!



*PERCIVAL, Rev. Robert George (Bob)* Peacefully at Longfields Manor in
Ottawa on September 27, 2009 at the age of 86.



Bob is survived by his wife Mary. He will be sadly missed by his sons
William (Charlene), Richard (Katherine), Terrance and Kevin (Katherine) and
his eight grandchildren and five great grandsons.



Also survived by his two brothers Freeman and Leonard and close friend Mary
McDowell and her family.



He was predeceased by his son Glenn and brother Earl.



Bob was ordained as a United Church Minister in 1958 and served a number of
congregations in Ontario and Quebec.



In addition he took great pride in his involvement in establishing Stride
Assistance for the Disabled and Daybreak Non-Profit Shelter.



Friends are invited to visit at the West Chapel of Hulse Playfair & McGarry
at 150 Woodroffe Avenue, Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00p.m. A
Funeral Service to celebrate Bob's life will be held at Parkdale United
Church 429 Parkdale Avenue (at Gladstone) on Wednesday, September 30, 2009
at 11 a.m.



In lieu of flowers it was Bob's wish that donations be made to Stride or
Daybreak or a charity of your choice.
