CCOC Rental Officer

 

Centretown Citizens Ottawa Corporation (CCOC) is an award-winning
private non-profit housing company that values innovation, creativity
and dynamism.  We own and manage over 1300 rental units in 49 properties
across downtown Ottawa. We're hiring a new Rental Officer.

We are looking for someone who is:

*	committed to a high standard of customer service
*	a skilled collaborator working as part of a multi-department
team
*	an excellent communicator and problem solver
*	skilled at dealing with people with a range of life experiences
and complex needs  
*	knowledgeable and experienced in leasing and marketing
*	highly organized and capable of working in a very busy and
demanding office environment

 

Requirements:

Work experience in rental housing  

Minimum 5 years experience in working with the public

Minimum 2 years post-secondary education

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills 

Excellent oral skills in English and French

Good writing skills in English and French

Good mathematical skills

Experience in computer applications, skill and accuracy in data entry
and databases in a network environment 

Excellent organizational skills 

Working vehicle and valid licence

 

Preferences:  

Work experience in community based organizations

Knowledge of social housing and community resources

Training in conflict management

Knowledge of Residential Tenancies Act, Social Housing Reform Act, Human
Rights and Privacy Legislation

Work experience in a cross cultural environment

Fluency in a third language

 

Starting Salary:          $43,194 plus pension plan and generous
benefits
