When I first saw this notice posted it never occurred to me that people
would take offense to it to it or debate the wisdom of posting it on a
homelessness listserve.  It's worth noting, particularly during Pride Week,
that many studies have shown that up to forty per cent of the street
involved youth are comprised of the GLBTTQ population.  This is a highly
marginalized group that, without support and education initiatives such as
the one posted, become prey to the predators on the streets, resulting in an
increase in addictions, homelessness, and the sex trade.
