Thanks for clarifying that Andrea. At the risk of being lighthearted about
a serious subject- sounds like a double entendre!

Hi folks,

The word SHAG is an acronym that stands for the title 'Sexual Health
Advisory Group'.

SHAG is a group made up of youth who have received training and get ongoing
support to deliver educational activities, workshops and events for their
peers. Our activities promote wellness and build community while educating
about sexual health, HIV/AIDS among other relevant topics.

The name SHAG was chosen by the peer educators.

Geared to youth of the GLBTTQ community, SHAG offers regular programming at
Gay Zone Gaie, organizes events to engage high risk youth at key times of
the year (like at Pride, for World AIDS Day, and around the time of AIDS
Walk for Life) and delivers programming within the community.
