As you may know, on April 22 our government launched the Partnership
Project<http://partnershipproject.ca/Home/>,
a consultation with the not-for-profit sector about how to strengthen the
relationship between the Ontario government and the province’s
not-for-profit sector.



Since our launch, we have been asking for the sector’s advice on ways to
renew, streamline and modernize the relationship between government and the
not-for-profit sector. We are seeking your views on how government can be
more responsive, supportive and accessible to the sector. We are looking at
what works and what doesn’t in terms of legislation, policies, structural
issues and funding mechanisms. We are interested in finding new and better
ways to coordinate policy, research and communication with and for the
sector.



To help in this process, the Ministry of Citizen and Immigration has
launched the Partnership Project

participate in an interactive discussion,
submit research, provide your feedback or learn more about the process. I
encourage you to visit *www.partnershipproject.ca* and participate in this
discussion.



We know what a valuable role you play in our community. You are our
champions and our caretakers, helping to create opportunities and deliver
services across a broad range of demographics. I know that you are committed
to our community and are major contributors to our social and economic
success as a province.  And I know that you are eager and able to play a
major role in forging a more effective partnership with the public and
private sectors to create a stronger third sector.



The outcome of the Partnership Project’s work will be a strategy that offers
a set of practical, concrete recommendations to the Premier on how to
strengthen the partnership between government and the not-for-profit sector.
