Hi folks,
The Mental Health Commission of Canada is working towards supporting a National Housing Strategy and has a series of questionnaires for different players that they would like completed by June 28th. THere is one for housing providers, for people living with mental illness, for their families and for providers of services or hospitals.
Please pass this on to others who you may know in those categories.
Linda.
Hello everyone:
With apologies for any cross-posting: any assistance you could provide in distribution of this email would be greatly appreciated. The feedback we receive from housing providers (this includes affordable housing providers), mental health service providers, hospitals, people living with mental health issues and family members will be very important in helping to craft the final report containing recommendations on a National Housing Strategy for the Mental Health Commission.
Thanks,
Natasha

Subject: MHCC National Housing Strategy Project - Questionnaire Links and PDF's for distribution and completion
Hello,
The Mental Health Commission of Canada (MHCC) has placed a priority on developing a National Housing Strategy and is undertaking a comprehensive national environmental scan to support planning and policy work in housing. The project Turning the Key: Assessing Housing and Related Supports for Persons Living with Mental Health Problems and Illnesses, will inform the Commission on current housing and community support needs for people living with mental health problems and/or mental illness in Canada.
The research team would like to invite you to participate in the project through completion of a questionnaire. Below please find the links to five different questionnaires. These questionnaires have been developed for various stakeholders including: (1) persons living with mental health problems or mental illness, (2) families of persons living with mental health problems or mental illness, (3) community-based mental health service providers, (4) housing providers, and (5) hospital administrators and/or clinical leads. Once you begin the questionnaire, you will have the option to complete it in either English or French.
Please note that English and French PDF versions of both the Families Questionnaire and the Questionnaire for People Living with Mental Health Problems or Mental Illness are available – please contact Nick Kerman if you would like a copy of either/both. The PDF versions have been created to enable participants to complete the questionnaire in hard-copy format, as needed. We would like to request the assistance of organizations/persons receiving the links to these PDF’s in making the hard-copy format available to interested/potential family members and people living with mental health problems or mental illness.
The deadline for completion of the questionnaires is Monday, June 28, 2010.
