Hello, I am creating a soccer team for homeless people living in the Ottawa
area.  Here is some information regarding the team:

The objective is:
To create a recreational soccer team for homeless individuals residing in
the Ottawa area. The goal of this initiative is to use sport as a form of
social inclusion. Participating in sport has been proven to help empower
individuals and allows them to (re)gain a sense of community and
contribution that is often lost within this part of society. By bringing
together individuals from diverse backgrounds in a space such as a soccer
pitch, the Ottawa Street Soccer Team seeks to create and reinforce positive
life skills and relationships that can then be reflected and demonstrated
both on and off the field. The creation of a team would allow for public
engagement as well as an opportunity to increase public awareness about
homelessness. Furthermore, though interaction with community, a more
positive image of the homeless within the Ottawa region can be established


I found out today about the Aviva Community Fund.  It's basically a
competition to fund various community initiatives.  I registered the soccer
team initiative today!  The idea is that you get as many votes as you can.
People have to register to vote but registration only takes a minute.  You
get 10 votes and can use all 10 votes for the same idea, but can only vote
once a day.  I was wondering if you would be willing to distribute the link
around wherever possible so that I can get more votes?
