2010 is a very special year for The Salvation Army as we celebrate 125
years of service in the City of Ottawa. To mark this exciting
anniversary, we are holding a leadership breakfast called "HOPE IN THE
CITY".
The HOPE IN THE CITY breakfast will celebrate the incredible impact that
our volunteers and staff make in our community every day, working with
people in need. The HOPE IN THE CITY breakfast will also raise funds to
support critical programs and services that assist more than 6000 people
in our community every year.
The HOPE IN THE CITY breakfast will also mark the start of The Salvation
Army's Christmas fundraising campaign. The Christmas fundraising season,
which includes the iconic Red Kettles, is vital to our organization as
more than 50% of total funds raised each year are raised during
Christmas.
We are very pleased to announce that our keynote speaker will be Dr.
Jeff Turnbull, president of the Canadian Medical Association and chief
of staff at the Ottawa Hospital. Dr. Turnbull is also co-founder of the
Inner City Health program, a program which provides health care to
chronically homeless men and women in Ottawa.
To order tickets or to find more information, please visit:

or call Nadia at 613-233-8428, ext. 221.
Thank you for your continued support of The Salvation Army and our work
with people in need.
Warm regards,
Michael
