Whether you work in the community, for a municipality, or in an agency
or hospital . . .

Whether you work with children, seniors, immigrants or people with
disabilities . . .

Whether you are a community representative, a planner, researcher, a
service provider . . .

The Workshop will highlight:

* The importance of having good data

* Local resources and how they complement each other: Ottawa
Neighbourhood Study (a data source); The Community Information and
Mapping Systems (a tool to manipulate and compare data)

* Critical elements in population health planning

* Future learning and networking opportunities

Why?

This workshop will launch an 18-month initiative to further develop
capacity of those in Champlain and Eastern Ontario to:

* make the link between what we do and population health

* develop more effective approaches to planning, research and evaluation

* understand and use data and methodology better

* build our capacity to allocate resources better
