Dear colleagues,

 

Many of you will have heard of the Raising the Roof campaign designed to
directly fund solutions to youth homelessness in Canada. Through the
campaign, stylish toques are sold for $10, with $8 going directly into
services to help homeless youth. 

 

In Ottawa, YSB's housing continuum was identified as an important
resource for street-involved youth  to help them permanently move off
the streets, go back to school, find a job, and live happy and
productive adulthoods. The YSB housing continuum consists of emergency
shelters for youth, transitional housing, and long-term housing
supported by mental health programs, a health clinic, employment
support, and much more. 

 

At Friday's members meeting of the Alliance to End Homelessness, YSB
will be selling toques to anyone interested in supporting this campaign.
We have toques in various colours and styles: black, red, and army
green.

 

If you are not able to purchase a toque at Friday's meeting, you can
stop by YSB at 2675 Queensview Drive. We are happy to deliver toque
orders over 20 in Ottawa by emailing ysbfoundation at ysb.on.ca. 

 

Another great idea is to buy toques for your clients! Many of them face
cold days and nights on the street and could benefit from these toques.
Why not direct the funds back into the system!
