Dear Friends

FYI- The Homelessness Partnering Strategy (HPS) Rural and Remote Homelessness Initiative in Ontario has launched a Call for Proposals (CFP) on March 24. The CFP invites organizations from Rural and Remote Communities in Ontario to submit proposals for funding through the HPS Rural and Remote Communities Initiative. HPS is aimed at the prevention and reduction of homelessness across Canada. Please note HPS designated communities are not eligible to receive funding. 

Approximately $800,000 per year will be allocated for Rural and Remote Communities in Ontario for the next three years beginning April 1, 2011 to March 31, 2014. All project activities under this first CFP should be completed by March 31, 2012. The deadline for submissions is Thursday April 21st, 2011 at 4pm. 

I've provided a copy of the CFP below and would encourage you to share it with anyone associated with a group that may be interested in applying for this funding. Any questions or requests for a copy of the application form can be directed to Nancy Smith or Bethany Obermayer whose contact information is in the attached document.
