TITLE:          Psychosis, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), and Dissociation

TIME:           8:00 a.m. (registration) to 4:00 p.m.

COST:          Full registration: $250.00          20 Student Rates: $100.00   (cost includes lunch and two breaks)
Learning Objectives:
1.                 Understand the relationship between trauma and severe mental illness;
2.                 Understand the role of trauma as an antecedent to both substance abuse and psychosis;
3.                 Identify the use of CBT with co morbid, PTSD, and psychosis;
4.                 Understand the cognitive restructuring program for PTSD in severe mental illness;
5.                 Understand advances in regards to the functional MRI in diagnosis and treatment.

Target Audience:
Physicians, nurses, psychologists, occupational therapists, social works, and other mental health care professionals.  Basic knowledge of cognitive behavioural therapy for psychosis is required for the understanding of this 2-day workshop.

Level 4 Category:  This event follows the Level 4 credits according to the MOCOMP Royal College guidelines.
