What a wonderful response so far to the Ask Me Ottawa campaign to end
homelessness! A big "thank you" goes out to those who have come
forward to volunteer and help spread our reach. As you know, we're
trying to bring the community working to end homelessness together in
one place to share our stories, empower our supporters, and make
change happen.

Now that the campaign has officially launched, our first step is to
encourage as many volunteers, staff, and people with lived experience
to get involved. Here's how you can help:

1) Join us on Facebook: "like" the campaign Facebook page here: www.facebook.com/askmeottawa
2) Follow us on Twitter: follow the campaign on Twitter here: http://twitter.com/#!/
AskMeOttawa
3) Spread the word: Send this email to your friends, colleagues, and
board members to follow suit.

Again, thank you for the wonderful response so far and helping to
build this movement. With 9,500+ of us in Ottawa, we can accomplish a
great deal together.

About the Campaign
The Ask Me campaign is designed to start conversations. It will give
those volunteering and working in the sector the tools they need to
effectively and confidently speak about their experiences. It will
spark a conversation with those who have limited knowledge of housing
and homelessness in Ottawa. It will break stereotypes associated with
homelessness. It will work to broaden the support for housing issues
outside of the sector’s traditional constituency. It will inform
people and make them care enough to take action both during and
between elections.

The concept is as simple as it is powerful. Let’s increase the
chatter, raise the noise level, and effect real results.
