Routliffe, the coordinator of a John Howard Society program for youth

involved young men and he answers: “it’s been a good journey.” Mark  
has spent the last eight years as coordinator of a young men’s  
residence run by the John Howard Society of Ottawa.

One story stands out for Mark among the many he’s seen. There was  
young man who spent a year and a half living at the facility. He faced  
many challenges in his life that led him to being in conflict with the  
law. His transition was difficult but with the help of counsellors and
