Valentine’s Day is fast approaching. 

 

Show that special someone just how much you love them by presenting them
with a pair of concert tickets for an evening of outstanding classical
music! 

 

On SATURDAY FEBRUARY 15th AT 7:30 p.m., the University of Toronto’s HART
HOUSE ORCHESTRA will perform a benefit concert to celebrate CENTRE 454’s
60th anniversary. 

 

It will be a memorable evening of music! Never before has Carl Nielsen's
Concerto for Violin and Orchestra, Op. 33 been performed in the nation’s
capital. In fact, this century-old concerto will have its Canadian premiere
this Thursday when Hart House Orchestra performs it in Toronto before
heading to Ottawa for our Saturday concert! Led by conductor Henry Janzen,
with guest violin soloist Arkady Yanivker of the Toronto Symphony Orchestra,
this highly regarded concerto will be part of a program that also includes
Butterworth’s “A Shropshire Lad” Rhapsody and Mendelssohn’s Symphony No. 4,
Op. 90.

TICKETS:  

Regular tickets are $60 (in recognition of the Centre’s 60th anniversary!)
and include a charitable tax receipt for $30. 

Tickets are $20 for students and those who cannot pay the regular price
