[homeles_ot-l] Upcoming (Fall) forums / workshops on Ending Homelessness

Hi everyone: 

Sending along information on a number of homelessness and affordable housing
forums this Fall: 

 

First, an early notice that the 2014 Community Forum on Ending Homelessness
(the ATEH annual Forum) is scheduled for Wednesday, November 26, taking
place at the University of Ottawa. Bookmark your calendars! Registration and
program information will be available in late summer / early Fall.  

 

Second, the Ontario Non-Profit Housing Association (ONPHA) will be holding
its 2014 conference and trade show here in Ottawa, from November 14-16.

A pre-conference session, entitled "Finance Lab: Designing housing solutions
to combat homelessness and housing insecurity," will take place on Thursday,
November 13, from 1:00-4:00 pm. A specific goal for this session will be to
build momentum for the creation of new financial tools to combat
homelessness and to develop more affordable rental housing in and around the
Ottawa area. The session will explore how the private and non-profit sectors
can collaborate in developing solutions to homelessness and housing
insecurity. Further information can be found in the attached poster. 

 

Third, the Canadian Alliance to End Homelessness will hold its 2014 National
Conference on Ending Homelessness from November 3-5 in Vancouver. Further
