Let's Talk Fundraising (June 4, 2014)
People and corporations can be interested in giving to your group - you need to ask in a way that puts the beneficiary first. Let's talk fundraising with:
1. Fraser Green of GoodWorksCo.ca is a powerhouse of fundraising talent - Fraser will speak to you on New Trends in fundraising.
2. Dan Clapin, Executive Director of The Perley and Rideau Veterans' Health Centre Foundation is a Fundraiser with over 25 years' experience in fundraising, donor cultivation and volunteer management. Dan will speak about Planned Giving.
3. Pat Shapiro, Development Manager at Volunteer Ottawa has been practicing her craft for the last 30 years. Her particular strengths are direct mail and proposal writing. Pat will talk about the Cost/Return Ratio - the benefits and the limitations of different types of fundraising.
Through conversation and active participation, this event offers a great opportunity to share and discover practical ideas that lead to successful fundraising.
