Helping Your Clients Find Good Legal Information

This is a 3-hour workshop presented by CLEO (Community Legal Education
Ontario) in partnership with Connecting Ottawa.

 

Your clients trust you to help them with problems - but how can you help
when they face a legal issue? This free workshop will:

.         help you decide if there is a legal issue involved in your
client's problem

.         direct you to dependable sources of legal information

.         help you assess the reliability of legal information

.         explain the difference between legal information and legal advice

.         tell you where to find legal advice and representation

.         suggest ways to help your clients identify the steps they need to
take to deal with a legal problem

 

Location: Vanier Community Service Centre (Community Room), 270 Marier
Avenue, Ottawa (The venue is fully accessible.)

Free parking is available on the corner of Levis Avenue and Begin Street.
