teams will be next week, as part of our involvement in the 20,000 Homes
campaign. Participants are welcome!

Join the movement to end homelessness as part of the Canada-wide 20,000
Homes Campaign - a national initiative to house 20,000 of the most
vulnerable homeless individuals by 2018

 

Ottawa's involvement in 20,000 Homes begins this weekend! 

 

.         During our Action Week, teams will survey and record the stories
of those without homes in Ottawa

.         Survey information will be used to better understand the needs of
those without homes - and to plan and prioritize housing interventions for
the future

.         Stories and images will engage the public, encouraging our
community to come together to advocate for and develop housing solutions

 

Ways you can be involved: 

.         Survey teams to interview individuals without permanent homes will
be at various locations on Monday, April 20, Tuesday, April 21 and
Wednesday, April 22. Homeless individuals are welcome to participate at
these locations / times (see attachment).  

.         Assistance with data entry (Monday, April 20 - Wednesday, April
22) is still welcome - reply to info at endhomelessnessottawa.ca if you could
join a morning, afternoon or evening shift. 

.         A few survey teams on Monday and Tuesday (8am-12pm, 12-4pm, 4-8pm)
could still use additional volunteers. Please reply to
info at endhomelessnessottawa.ca if you may be interested and available. Free
training and orientation is required - and available this weekend (two
options - Friday, April 17 from 12pm-4pm or Saturday, April 18 from
9am-1pm). 

.         Attend the Community Debrief

f-poster-EN.png>  on Thursday, April 23 at the Ottawa Little Theatre - to
hear about the week, and join in a community-wide Call to Action so we might
together create and advocate for housing solutions. All are welcome!
