Abuse prevention for people with disabilities
Join us to learn about abuse and how to prevent it from North America’s leading expert on the abuse of people living with a disability.  People living with a disability are at a significantly higher risk of becoming the victims of crime.  CODA is a community-based initiative, supported by CPO, dedicated to developing awareness and understanding of the abuse of people with disabilities and working towards prevention.

Keynote Presenter:  Dr. Nora J Baladerian, Ph.D
Nora is a clinical psychologist with a private practice focusing on trauma and abuse. She conducts seminars and trainings for first responders, agency personnel, and service providers. Dr. Baladerian is often consulted by attorneys engaged in litigation, both civil and criminal, for forensic evaluations and strategic advice in cases involving disability and abuse.

Prévention de l’abus chez les personnes handicapées
Venez en apprendre davantage sur l’abus et la façon de la prévenir en compagnie d’une grande spécialiste d’Amérique du Nord qui traitera de l’abus des personnes handicapée. Une personne ayant un handicap est plus à risque d’être victime d’un crime.  « CODA » est une initiative communautaire, appuyée par PCO, qui vise à faire connaître la violence envers les personnes ayant un handicap, à sensibiliser la population à cet égard et à prévenir ce genre de situation.

Conférencière invitée : Nora J Baladerian, Ph.D
Mme Baladerian est psychologue clinicienne qui travaille en pratique privée, spécialisée dans les cas de traumatisme et d’abus. Elle offre des séminaires et de la formation aux premiers répondants, au personnel d’organismes et aux fournisseurs de services. Mme Baladerian agit souvent comme personne-ressource auprès des avocats qui travaillent sur des dossiers civils et criminels, pour des évaluations médico-légales et des conseils stratégiques concernant des personnes ayant un handicap et des abus.
