These three one hour webnair's by the *Recovery to Practice* group
http://www.samhsa.gov/recovery-to-practice
have focus on bridging the ideas/values of Recovery to actual-- on the
ground, practical implementation, in the context of multiple organizations
and groups within "a community."

*As well, of note is that RTP developed within various professional groups,
like nursing, psychology, peer support, psychiatry, addictions...) recovery
focused approaches calibrated to their scope of practice*.

*The Role of Communities in Recovery*

Recovery happens where people live, work, worship and play. Involvement in
communities can help people find a sense of belonging, provide access to
activities and resources, and offer opportunities for contribution to
others. All too often, however, community involvement – in work, social
activities, religious life, and other pursuits – is considered only after
treatment is completed, rather than being a source of discovery and healing
in itself.

This series will examine how recovery-oriented practitioners and
organizations can identify, access, and partner with everyday community
resources to help people expand their connections in communities of their
choice.
