Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation?s Affordable Housing Webinars are 
distance-learning seminars that allow you to participate in a learning and 
information sharing experience without the expense of travelling or taking 
time away from business and family. Participants join the Webinar via 
telephone and the web. There is no cost to participate and sessions are 
usually 90 minutes in length. 


Innovations in Housing the Chronically Homeless and Hard-to-House 
Downtown Toronto housing provider St. Clare?s Multifaith Housing Society 
has developed an innovative operating model that de-risks building 
finances and improves tenant outcomes. This big-city model is currently 
being explored by Michelle Ogden, Hastings County?s Assistant Housing 
Manager, and Phil Spry, an affordable housing developer in Belleville. 
They will share their perspective on how the St. Clare?s Operating Model 
can be scaled to fit the needs of smaller communities, after our main 
presenters speak. 
In this webinar you will learn: 
how a landlord can mitigate financial risk; 
tips on crafting a partnership contract with community agencies; 
how this model can be scaled up or down; 
how to develop tenant capacity.
