Free event for practitioners/members of the public.
"Damaged" tells a personal story of one psychiatrist's efforts to support a
man with multiple childhood experiences of trauma who also has a chronic
disease. The argument the authors make about the need for a revolution in
health care will resonate with those who have experienced homelessness or
are working with homeless folks. Studies have shown that people who
experience homelessness typically have much higher than average incidents
of Adverse Childhood Events (ACEs) than the general public.
Friday Oct 29, 12-1 pm Eastern. Registration in advance is required but is
free.
