Join the Vancouver Holocaust Education Centre for their final event of our football series, Holocaust Education in the Modern Stadium<https://www.eventbrite.ca/e/holocaust-education-in-the-modern-stadium-tickets-1998309733205>. Our panelists will explore how Holocaust remembrance is being incorporated into modern stadiums and sporting institutions, while addressing the persistent challenges of exclusion, discrimination and antisemitism in football. The conversation will consider important questions: Is Holocaust education making a meaningful impact in sports? How can football continue to champion respect, inclusion and human rights on and off the pitch?

This IN-PERSON event will take place in East Vancouver on October 27 starting at 6:00 PM. Doors open at 5:15 PM for Welcome hors d’oeuvres.

Along with a special introduction by Major League Soccer’s Vancouver Whitecaps FC, attendees will here from panelists, including José Antonio Guevara Bermúdez, a Mexican lawyer, human rights expert and academic with more than 25 years of experience in international human rights law, international criminal law, transitional justice and international humanitarian law and Daniel Lörcher, a founder and director of the organization what matters and Vice President of Borussia Dortmund (Germany).
