Sunday, July 16, 2006 8:30 – 5:00

Earth ovens are beautiful, functional art pieces that are able to
produce fantastic food. They can take on simple elegant forms, or
morph into dragons, turtles or fish. This one day, hands on workshop
will explore the use of natural materials to construct a traditional
earth oven using a sand form and cob*.

Pre workshop slide show and talk Saturday evening from 8:00 – 9:30.

Cost: $50. Family rate and sliding scale available.

Tenting and meals (bring your favourite summer food to share)
included. For more information, and to register call Elisabeth at
902-386-2474.

*Cob: a traditional earth construction material made of local clay
soil, sand and fibre.
