[Sust-mar] Nova Scotia Recycles Contest - $40, 000 in Cash, Prizes and Scholarships

It's time for the 7th annual Nova Scotia Recycles Contest!  This
initiative, organized by RRFB Nova Scotia, offers creative contests for
students in grades P-12, with over $40,000 in cash, prizes, and
scholarships.  Students will work on various tasks, depending on their
grade level.  Students may be asked to design a t-shirt, create an
advertisement, write a research essay, and more.  The one thing all
these contests share is a focus on reducing waste and improving the
environment! 

 

Following is a summary of the 2006 contests:

Grades P-1                   Moby S. Loop Activity Page

Grades 2-3                   Bookmark Design

Grades 4-6                   T-Shirt Design

Grades 7-9                   Magazine Advertisement

Grades 10-11               School Greening Media Campaign

Grade 12                      Research Essay ($20,000 in scholarships)

 

 

The contest packages for grades P-6 and 7-12 can be downloaded from RRFB
Nova Scotia's website at www.rrfb.com <http://www.rrfb.com/> .  Entries
can be submitted in either English or French.  All submissions must be
post-marked by December 4th, 2006 (entries mailed by November 13th are
eligible for an early bird draw).  

 

The Nova Scotia Recycles Contest is supported Mountain Equipment Coop
